TECH UPGRADE APPEAL
Each week since March, hundreds of families have joined us at SPX Online. In one week and with minimal investment we set-up a way to film a weekend Mass. And we know that even with public Masses resuming, providing an online SPX experience is more important than ever. We need to expand our efforts as they serve not only our current parishioners but also are how we can continue to reach Bowie Bob and Bowie Barb.
So we need your help to do this. We have invested in camera and sound upgrades to enhance the quality of our online experience as well as be able to remove the camera stands from on the altar itself. These upgrades will also give us the ability to livestream not just pre-record.

NEW MESSAGE SERIES
Jesus’s parables are beautiful, powerful stories of faith…and sometimes, really confusing. Even Jesus’s own disciples struggled to understand what he meant when he told them. Because we’ve grown up hearing Jesus’s parables, we too can struggle to figure out what they mean. In this series we will explore some of Jesus’s best known parables to discover what is hidden in them. They can help us be renewed in childlike faith today.

SERVE
During the pandemic our church has moved online - we have hundreds of families worship online with us each weekend, our kids & students programs have continued to serve online and our adult small groups have continued to meet using Zoom. And we need to expand. But to do that we need your help! We're looking for people to serve in the following areas:
- Online Mass Host
- Online Small Group Leader
- During Filming Mass Tech Help (screens, cameras, sound)
- Outside of Mass Tech Help (video editing, social media support, etc.)
- Video Talent (on video - saying prayers, making announcements, etc)

SPX Online HOST Ministry
Even with public Masses resuming, we know that our online campus will continue to be where many people are able to worship each weekend. In order to maintain all 4 weekend Masses, we are in need of more Hosts to serve - each Mass takes 3 people.
All you need is your computer and training is provided. Contact Katie Skerpon HERE if you're interested in serving - you can even be in your PJs!
Our Sandwich Ministry is an outgrowth of our parish's support of SOME, a soup kitchen in DC. This is a great way to help feed the hungry that can be done at home.
Sandwiches should be only meat and cheese, sealed in a baggie. They can be delivered to the coolers located in the school entranceway this Thursday, July 23rd between 8 am - 2 pm. Questions? Contact Leo Green HERE.
