Dear Parishioners,
I write to inform you that a parishioner who attended the 9:30am Mass this past Sunday (July 5) has self-reported a positive test result for COVID-19. The individual is under the care of a medical professional and we are praying for a safe and full recovery.
From the reopening plan and procedures we have shared with you, you know that keeping you healthy and safe are top priorities for St. Pius X Church. Everyone who worships with us on the weekend is required to wear a face covering, use hand sanitizer and maintain social distancing. Our church is cleaned and disinfected after every Mass. In addition to these measures, we communicated directly with those parish employees and volunteers who may have come in direct contact with the individual.
If you or any member of your family displays symptoms consistent with COVID-19, I urge you to consult with your physician. Symptoms include coughing, fever, and shortness of breath. It is important to follow all guidelines provided at this time, including staying at home, continuing preventive measures, and practicing social distancing.
We continue to encourage everyone who attends Mass at St. Pius to practice good hygiene and social distancing. This will minimize the risk of infection and help us to keep everyone healthy and safe.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these times.
Fr. Mike Jones
Pastor
