Week 2 - See the Son of God

New Year Resolutions. We’ve all made them. We look at the things about ourselves we don’t like and resolve to change - to get in shape, reconnect with loved ones, get involved in church. To be spiritually healthy, you need to see yourself as God sees you. And God has 20/20 vision. When God looks at you he sees his child, filled with the Holy Spirit; a disciple of his Son called to share the Good News. In this series, discover how to live every day of this New Year seeing yourself as God does. Resolve to have 20/20 vision.

WORSHIP

To keep you and other parishioners healthy here a few reminders:

If you are suffering with the flu or a bad cold, please stay home. You can always watch Sunday Mass on TV to fulfill your obligation if you are too sick to come to church.
If you have a cold, please do not receive from the cup during Communion.
At the sign of peace, it is fine to not shake hands. Simply smile, nod or wave at those nearest you.
Keep hand sanitizer with you to use after shaking hands. All our Eucharistic Ministers do this before distributing holy communion.
When coughing or sneezing, do so into your elbow, never your hands.

CONNECT

You've heard that they are awesome, so find out for yourself. Now is your time to join a Small Group - well almost - sign ups will be held after masses Jan 25/26 and Feb 1/2.

For that to happen, we need your help!

We are looking for people so serve as hosts and facilitators. Hosts open their homes for groups to meet in. Facilitators helps the conversation to stay on track.

We are particularly looking for a morning group facilitator to help with a group meeting after daily mass. Training and support will be provided.

SPX Sodality of Our Lady

All are invited to this month's meeting of the SPX Sodality of Our Lady, which will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 pm in the Church. Join us for a Communion Service, Rosary, fellowship, and brief business meeting.

Warm Nights: Volunteer to serve with this amazing mission opportunity at SPX. In February we will be hosting 30 homeless men, women and children at St. Pius X for a week. You can help by providing food items, sleeping overnight, donating money and in many other ways. Sign-ups end on January 19th - please sign-up as soon as possible. Saint Pius X Regional School, a National Blue Ribbon School, will host an Open House on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Families are invited to tour the campus, and meet faculty, administration, students and parents. Prospective families will also learn more about the exceptional academic curriculum and new Early Learning Program which will be opening in 2020.
