Advent Candles will be available at the Religious Goods Stand after all Masses on November 27th & 28th.
Little Blue Books with daily Advent Devotionals will be available after all the Masses this weekend. Donations welcome.
Christmas is a time of year when people's hearts are open to God in a special way. It's when we have the most visitors and guests, and often it's the one time of year that people who don't like church enter our doors. It's our best opportunity to serve our community, demonstrate God's love for them, and show how welcoming SPX is - a place where everyone is welcome because everyone matters.
This year, we're asking you to make serving at SPX
part of how you celebrate Christmas.
We begin the season of Advent journeying through Scripture together beginning with the Old Testament passages that foretell of the coming Savior through the events leading up to Jesus' birth. Using the Advent readings, traditional & contemporary music, and a time of Adoration this evening will be a beautiful way to prepare your heart for Christmas. Join both our Saturday and Sunday music groups as we REJOICE that Emmanuel is coming!

This year our Giving Tree is partnering with the Gabriel Network, Assumption Parish, the Bowie Interfaith Pantry & Emergency Aid Fund, and Warm Nights to provide support for those in need.
Donations are due by December 19
Decorate your car for the holidays, load up the kids and the entire family. Come to SPX, enjoy seeing our church campus all decorated for the season, drop off your gifts, and say hello to a very special visitor all from the safety of your car.
No sign up, just show up.

Amidst all the hustle and bustle, it's easy to get caught up in all that there is to do during Advent, and lose sight of what it is that we're getting ready for: the coming our Lord and Savior as a tiny, helpless baby. It can help to set aside time to step back from all the to dos and just spend some time in prayer.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available and the church will be open for private prayer for you to spend time with the One whom this season is all about.
